Will I get licensed at your school?Cosmetology Esthetics, Nail Technology, and Instructor programs provide hours for students to sit for state exams for licensure. Makeup Artistry is a certification and no longer a license. We do not give the license directly, but the credentials are obtained from our training and forwarded to the State Board of Cosmetologists for the state you took the hours in.

How do I register for a class?You can begin registration 2 ways. Online Here or Stop in during business hours to register onsite. Appointments are not required, but recommended.

Is your school accredited?Our programs are approved by the Maryland State Board of Cosmetologists and Maryland Higher Education Commission to provide clock hours to take the state licensure. CLICK HERE to verify.

Can I just take a class to learn acrylic?Acrylic and other beauty chemicals are regulated by the state of MD for practice in approved school programs. You may register for a program or participate with available continuing education classes (if you are licensed and need more support). Graduates from other beauty schools will be allowed to participate in continuing education if they can provide documentation of enrollement. We are a compliance school and do not teach chemicals to non-licensed, or non-student public members.

When is the last day to register for a class?Registration for classes are accepted up to 30 days before the class start. However, some classes fill up quicker than others so we recommend registering as soon as you can to guarantee your seat. If seats are still available after 30 days, seats will be fill up until the day before the start date.

When do I get my kit?Students get their full kit the first week of their program. This is why kits are paid for upfront. We are an OPI Partner School and INGLOT Partner School.

Can I buy a kit?Unfortunately, student kits are not for public sale. We do have a limited retail store online and in school. Please note regulated items are limited to licensed professionals with a valid beauty license and current students only. All other orders will be canceled.

How do I pay for school?At this time, we accept cash, money orders, cashier credits, credit payments, payment plans until the last day of class, scholarships, grants and personal loans sent to us on behalf of students.

Does your school accept VA Benefits?Yes, our facility code for MD is 252520. Virgnia has been not approved yet.
