State Board Exam Prep

Any State Board Candidate who has obtained or almost completed their hours for cosmetology, esthetics, nail, hair styling or barbering may need additional preparation their public or private school may not offer.

Practical Prep

  • 3 hours

  • Small group private on-site session

  • State Board Drill of All Practical skills

  • Formative assessment with feedback and scorecard

  • Question and Answer (Q&A) session for practical portion

  • Off-site not available     

Theory Prep

  • 3 hours

  • Small group private on-site session or one-on-one off-site session

  • Theory packet

  • State Board-Style Theory test

  • Formative assessment with feedback and scorecard

  • Question and Answer (Q&A) session for theory portion

  • Additional fee for off-site location

Senior Cosmetologist/ Master Barber Prep

  • 3 hours

  • Small group private on-site session or one-on-one off-site session

  • Senior Cosmetology/ Master Barber packet

  • State Board-Style Senior Cosmetology/ Master Barber Theory test

  • Formative assessment with feedback and scorecard

  • Question and Answer (Q&A) session

  • Additional fee for off-site location

Group Services

Salon/School Workshops

Salons and Beauty schools may contract "Training by Topcurl" to facilitate a workshop on any beauty topic of their choice when additional preparation is needed and not offered at the school or salon.

  • 3 hours

  • Up to 10 guest private session at local location of choice

  • Agenda

  • Beauty Demo, Theory & Practical tips as needed

  • Question and Answer (Q&A) session

  • Purchase packets for additional fee 

Specialty Training

  • 1 Area of choice per hour (fingerwaving, hair cutting, acrylic, marcel curling, braiding, natural hair care, color technique, management, etc.) 

  • 1 hour increments (may book 3 hours at a time)

  • Practical Application (Hands On)

  • Infection Control & Sanitation

  • Question and Answer (Q&A) session

 Individual Makeup & Eyelash Class

  • 4 hours
